
For my first week posting writing goals, I think I did pretty well.
✅❎ Write two-three sprints per day.
So close. I did three on Monday, two on Tuesday, two on Wednesday… and then one yesterday. Word counts are not great, but the goal was butt-in-chair time, and I think I can make up for yesterday today.
✅ Post my first chapter to my writing group for feedback.
Done, got some great comments. I’m so happy to be part of this group now! The notes I got were supportive and constructive, and led to a good amount of writing last night after the kids went to bed, even though didn’t get much done earlier.
✅ Read and comment on the chapters the rest of the group posts
Done! Loving getting into these new stories. It’s really interesting to see certain ideas recur within our group, but be developed in completely different ways.
✅❎ Maintain my blog updates
Again, I was doing really well until yesterday… and then I missed it. In my defense I was waging war against mint during the time of day I usually try to be at my desk, and that battle was a success 🤞
✅ Drink more water
Done. I got an app on my phone that sends reminders every two hours and lets me track various different drinks though the day. Feeling better already.
In general, I’m really happy with my productivity this week. I’m developing good habits, and I’m enjoying getting to know my new writer’s group.
