Instead of finishing the draft last week, I moved a bunch of chapters around (mostly at the beginning) and wrote new transitions. I resurrected a chapter I’d cut (and may cut again), bringing my word count over 80k. Not bad for an original goal of 65k.

All of which is to say that I’m basically back were I was last Monday, about 20k from the end of the book. So, instead of a word count goal, or a completion goal, this week I want to solve two of the plot problems that are keeping me from revising the ending. Even if that means most of this week’s progress is in my head and my notes.
