I spent most of my day today making ancient Egypt themed cupcakes for my almost-nine-year-old birthday boy, who has recently taken an increased interest in Social Studies. (I think it’s the myths.)
Turns out, Ancient Egypt is not as popular a party theme as you might think… If it had been a jungle, I would have been set, but the party stores don’t really supply much for deserts. (Really missing out on an opportunity to have cake decorations labeled Desert Desserts, if you ask me.)
Anyway, cupcakes are now done and ready for tomorrow, and I have about half an hour left before I pick up the kids, so I may just fit in a sprint after all.
Tomorrow I’m going to see how many sprints I can get in before I go have birthday lunch with the kiddo at school. Then the rest of the week should be mostly back to regularly scheduled writing/reading. Really hoping to put a big dent in act 2 by the end of the month.
Here we go.
