Weekly Goals
This week’s goal is simple. And insane. It’s simply insane. I want to finish this draft. I have an unexpected amount of work time this week, so I’m going to make the most of it. Stop second guessing. Stop getting distracted. Stop making excuses. It needs to be done. Here goes.

Progress Check
This week I did a fair amount of fixing. I went back in and made notes about things that need to change in the next pass. I spent two days staring at the space between two paragraphs until I figured out how to connect them. I got two chapters revised enough that they’re ready for…

Only Happy When It Rains…
The best kind of misery… So stuck. But I keep finding new music to love… And I cut a bunch of stuff from chapter six a while ago, only to find that some of it fits nicely in here in chapter 20. Word count keeps going up. Got some great big breaks to cross though.…

Wishing…
A midyear reminder of a “New Year Wish” by Neil Gaiman (Art by David Mack, framed with pressed flowers by me). Quote:Be kind to yourself in the year ahead. Remember to forgive yourself, and to forgive others. It’s too easy to be outraged these days, so much harder to change things, to reach out, to…

Weekly Goals
Forgot to publish yesterday. Oops This week’s writing goal is reading. I’m getting into the mushy middle of this thing, and I need to make sure I’m catching all the threads in my revision. So, hopefully I can finish the chapter I’m working on, and then go back and read the first half to make…
